The new generation EE 5 underlines the commitment made by Husqvarna Mobility to continue developing pioneering, e-powered motocross machinery. Already a popular and versatile model thanks to its six ride modes and adjustable seat height, the exciting EE 5 is now water cooled to extend its running time by 30% and to maintain a consistent power delivery. Assembled with a comprehensive list of premium components and beautifully crafted to the highest standards, the EE 5 is a fully fledged motocross machine capable of competing against its 50 cc fuel-powered competition. With no notable engine noise and zero carbon emissions, the innovative EE 5 is more accepted in areas sensitive to sound emissions, making riding offroad much more accessible to younger riders.
Electric motor
To extend the running time and maintain optimal performance, the EE 5 motor is now water cooled. By introducing this technology, the cooling system has enabled a 30% longer running time with no loss of power. The water pump is controlled by the battery and starts when any ride mode is engaged. Engineered to be slim and extremely compact, the permanent magnet motor is designed specifically for the EE 5 and offers a peak power output of 5 kW to rival its combustion-engine competition. The electric motor is largely maintenance free thanks to its water and dust proof construction while six ride modes enable a customisable power delivery based on rider ability.
Battery
The proven Li-Ion battery is mounted inside a robust die-cast aluminium casing and powers the electric motor. It creates 907 Wh of stored energy for up to two hours of general riding, or 30 minutes at a fast pace when the highest ride mode is engaged. The integrated Battery Management System (BMS) ensures safety and longevity of the battery pack assembly.
Charger
An external, worldwide charger supplying up to 900 W can be plugged into any 110 or 230 Volt socket for fast recharging. By connecting the charger directly to the battery pack, an 80% charge takes just 45 minutes while a full charge takes 70 minutes.
Multifunctional instrument
With its perfect location between the seat and steering head, the multifunctional instrument allows riders and parents to easily see the remaining battery life. Additionally, six ride modes ensure children of all abilities, from beginners through to serious racers, can have the most appropriate setting engaged using the button at the bottom of the display. For extra safety, a dongle beneath the seat can be used to 'lock' a ride mode to prevent young riders from activating a more powerful option.
Safety
A roll-over sensor stops power to the rear wheel when the EE 5 is led down after a fall. The wrist lanyard key also acts in the same way if the rider removes their hand from the handlebars. A final layer of safety is the dongle beneath the seat, which prevents children from changing the ride mode settings.
Adjustable seat height
Thanks to its adjustable seat height, the EE 5 can be adapted in size allowing it to 'grow' together with the rider. The standard seat height is 626 mm and can be increased to 674 mm with two easy adjustments - installing the WP shock in the alternative position and lowering the WP forks through the triple clamps. This adjustability ensures youngsters can ride the same, familiar machine during their youth as they refine their skills and build confidence.
Frame
The EE 5 frame is updated for 2025 to improve handling and durability. To underline its premium construction, the frame is made from the same chromium molybdenum steel that is used to manufacture the full-size motocross machines. Young riders will enjoy the lighter feel when cornering, in addition to the confidence inspiring straight-line stability. Further aiding the agility of the EE 5 is the new subframe, which is made from fibreglass-reinforced plastic for maximum strength at the lowest possible weight.

Wheels and brakes
Designed to be light, strong, and complete with black anodised rims, the wheels on the EE 5 offer function, reliability, and style. For controlled and progressive stopping power, hydraulic brake systems and wavey discs provide exceptional braking performance in all conditions. The high quality wheels are complete with MAXXIS MX-ST tyres, which offer exceptional grip through corners and aid confidence-inspiring straight-line stability.
Handlebar
To help instil confidence in all young riders, we've fitted NEKEN handlebars with a bend and diameter designed specifically for children. Thin, ODI lock-on grips allow youngsters to hold with full control, which reduces fatigue and provides them with greater control. A new throttle assembly also improves the riding experience as it has been designed specifically for electric motors. The end result is a much more connected and smoother feel between the throttle and the rear wheel. Additionally, a cushioning bar pad protects the rider during a fall or unexpected impacts.
Bodywork
By scaling down the bodywork from the full size motocross models for the EE 5, all youngsters will benefit from the perfect ergonomics. The unrestrictive and comfortable design ensures all children can move freely between riding positions, which reduces fatigue and in turn, maximises their enjoyment on track.
Graphics
The minimalistic graphics set the EE 5 apart from its competition and an in-mould application process used to apply them, ensuring a durable and long lasting finish. Together with a blue frame, rear mudguard, and fork guards, the overall look of the EE 5 is truly distinctive.
